The sextet in the 15:47 A8 contest at Sheffield are all pretty exposed, so with that in mind, it will surely pay to stick with LA LANZA given he holds an edge on the clock. The selection showed a willing attitude when successful in this grade earlier this month and though this is just his second run from the stripes (usually in 4 or 5) the make-up of the race should suit with a slow-starting middle seed on his inside.

HOPALONG ELENI (Trap 2) in the 21:22 at Nottingham

We wait until the final race on Nottingham’s evening card at 21:22 for bet number three, with HOPALONG ELENI the one to beat. She’ll have to see off Fred Knows Nowt on her inside, but in the hope she manages that, building up an insurmountable lead could well be on the cards.
