MUCKY LEGEND (Trap 4, 16.46) was relatively highly tried over in Ireland, yet set a more suitable assignment he could hardly have been more impressive when routing A5 rivals back in mid-May, breaking smartly and recording a career-best effort. His trials at Owlerton have been respectable and with improvement in the offing, he looks to have been given a solid chance of making a winning debut at the track.

Bright Jodi (Trap 2) in the 17:56 at Sheffield

BRIGHT JODI’s (Trap 2, 17.56) merit is firmly established at a low level, yet she arrives here on the back of a pair of respectable efforts in similar company and this looks a good opening for her to end a losing run stretching back to April. Her claims of poaching an early advantage on the inside are clear and we’re hopeful she can get the job done. 

Rockette (Trap 6) in the 18:11 at Sheffield

ROCKETTE (Trap 6, 18.11) hasn’t been operating at the top of her game of late, yet Lisa Stephenson’s charge has faced sterner assignments in the main and she may well be ready to get back to winning ways. Unable to build up a significant advantage on the wide outside latest, she proved vulnerable late on but holds solid claims of seizing a sizeable lead early doors down in class and all looks set fair for a big run.
