We provide three selections from Sheffield on Monday.
DROOPYS HAND (Trap 3) in the 14:47 at Sheffield
DROOPYS HAND took a step forward when scoring in mid-April and in essence remains the type to improve further, coming from an unpromising position when three lengths third in higher grade four days ago. Crucially, the daughter of Droopys Jet can break better than she did that day and she is fancied to resume winning ways.
CONEY MCKENNA (Trap 6) in the 16:27 at Sheffield
CONEY MCKENNA is largely seen plying his trade at a higher level, a versatile campaigner who can mix 2 & 4 bends. He was unable to capitalise on the drop to D2 company on his most recent start, holding every chance to finish second. However, he was beaten in a very fast time that day and, with nothing of that calibre in opposition this afternoon, all looks set fair for a bold showing.
HAMMER IT HOME (Trap 6) in the 18:11 at Sheffield
HAMMER IT HOME was a good winner on his Sheffield debut back in March and whilst unsuccessful subsequently there have been signs his turn may not be far away once more. Moderate breaking often proves his Achilles’ Heel but the grader has relinquished his grip this afternoon and, operating at A3 level, he is fancied to strike fast and late on the outside.
