We provide our three best bets from Nottingham on Monday.
Trade Chandler (Trap 6) in the 19:52 at Nottingham
One hound who was mightily impressive in making his second UK start a winning one was TRADE CHANDLER (Trap 6) and he is worth chancing to build on that effort now his attentions are switched to open company in Nottingham’s 19.52. Gary Griffith’s charge was deserving of having his effort marked up at Belle Vue 9 days ago, doing well to get on top from an unpromising position at halfway and a decent break can see the son of Big Daddy Cool play a significant role in this evening’s proceedings.
Martinstown Band (Trap 5) in the 21:22 at Nottingham
MARTINSTOWN BAND (Trap 5, 21.22) has emerged as a likely Greyhound Derby candidate in recent weeks, readily completing a quick-fire hat-trick over C&D 7 days ago. Crucially he can do it from the front or behind, impressing when routing the opposition by some 5 ½ lengths latest. This is a stronger contest than he faced last time but Chris Aker’s charge is expected to have too many guns once more.
Nans Padjoe (Trap 5) in the 21:40 at Nottingham
NANS PADJOE (Trap 5, 21.40) is thriving on his racing at present, scoring in a fast time over Romford’s 400 metre trip prior to a solid third back at that venue on account of trouble-in-running on Friday. A winner at Colwick Park previously, Kevin Boon’s charge will need to trap clever on account of Foxy Joice on his outside and, provided he does, all looks set fair for a big run.
