A multiple A1 winner, he was messed around out wide back over 400m last week and is berthed back in the middle now. With a clear run he seems sure to go well for Paul Young.

FOREST CANDY (Trap 1) makes plenty of appeal in the 21:56 marathon event. The Hove bitch boasts C&D form figures of 121 and destroyed a useful field on her last visit to Essex a fortnight ago. She should be too good for Goldies Hotspur.

BRINKLEYS POET (Trap 1) departed early from the Essex Vase competition but is much better than he's shown in his last couple of runs and can resume winning ways for Mark Wallis in the 22:13 contest. He scored impressively on his first start over 575m at the track at the start of November and should be back to that sort of form before long.
