OH YESYESYES (Trap 2, 18.27) is a top class operator at home track Yarmouth and whilst inconsistency at the boxes has often proved his Achilles’ Heel at Romford, he looks to have been found a good opening to resume winning ways. His latest effort at Hove can be overlooked and having gone close in C&D events on his 3 previous starts (despite meeting with trouble) we’re hopeful he gets the breaks and shows his true colours this evening.

Burgess Lucia (Trap 6) - 19:33 at Romford

Heat 1 of the Romford Friday Night Bitches 500 features a host of A1 performers and it may be BURGESS LUCIA (Trap 6, 19.33) who comes out on top.  The Monmore raider can break smartly and looks to have the perfect make-up as the sole wide seed.  She’s building up a good record over C&D (3-5 to date) and further success beckons judged on recent evidence.

Pro Penny (Trap 4) - 19:49 at Romford

Following a spell on the side-lines PRO PENNY (Trap 4, 19.49) hasn’t been operating at her best, yet in mitigation the majority of her recent exploits over this C&D have been marred by trouble-in-running. However, there was a degree of encouragement to glean from her latest effort, particularly on the sectional clock despite her finishing position of fourth. On balance tonight’s contest isn’t a strong one on paper and a handy position around bends 1 & 2 tonight may well see her emerge in a much better light at the business end of proceedings.
