ALNWICK SAL (Trap 4) in the 15:07 at Newcastle

The fourth race at Newcastle this afternoon looks a good opportunity for ALNWICK SAL to get back to winning ways. The black has quickly reached A2 level having been introduced at A7 level back in May and has taken her level of performance to new levels in her last six starts. She couldn’t land the hat-trick last time but it was still a very good effort in defeat.

MANDYS CANDY (Trap 5) in the 18:11 at Newcastle

In the final race at Newcastle, MANDYS CANDY looks the one to be with. Her fifth last time is better than it might appear at first glance given she was taken very wide and confirms that, as her previous two runs had suggested, she is performing somewhere near her best now she is further out of season. This A4 looks well within her compass. 

SPARTA CREAM (Trap 6) in the 18:49 at Central Park

There are plenty of veterans in opposition in the second race at Central Park and that makes the youngest greyhound, SPARTA CREAM, of particular interest. Barrie O’Sullivan’s representative is giving away upwards of 4m in this 480m handicap but there has been plenty to like about her recent efforts and so long as she gets a clear run she rates a confident selection.
