Timeform provide selections from Sheffield & Belle Vue in search of winners on Saturday evening.
Esme (Trap 2) in the 20:08 at Sheffield
ESME (Trap 2, 20.08) is still very much in the infancy of her career and, in truth has had little go right on each of her 2 competitive starts in recent weeks, crowding at the ¾ point proving her undoing latest. However, she remains the type to do better still for her leading handler, particularly at this sort of level, and provided she can come out of bends 1 & 2 unscathed, is fancied to reverse recent placings with Act The Part (Trap 1).
Glenamaddy Born (Trap 3) in the 21:30 at Belle Vue
Over at Belle Vue GLENAMADDY BORN (Trap 3, 21.30) had little go right when beaten in A5 class 10 days ago, yet we know on back class alone that he is more than capable of making his mark at A6 level. A very fast breaker, Bev Heaton’s charge should skip this field early with his useful early pace and, all being well have enough in reserve to hold any late comers.
Inca Bandit (Trap 6) in the 21:54 at Sheffield
INCA BANDIT (Trap 6, 21.54) doesn’t find winning all that easy, yet in truth Phil Barlow’s charge has faced much more taxing opposition of late and it would come as a surprise where he not able to play a lead role. Beaten in a fast time for the grade of D3 latest, he faces nothing of that calibre here, and crucially he can break better than he did on that occasion.
