Best Bets: Friday 13 September

We pick out our three best bets from Romford on Friday.
Jakes Magic (Trap 3) - 19:33 Romford
The lack of a look around Romford is a concern for Jakes Magic (Trap 3, 19.33), yet on the flip side the son of Superior Product is a youngster with above-average potential and could be worth chancing to come out on top. He's escaped the toughest of the Puppy Cup heats in truth and has gone under the 28-second barrier on several occasions at home track Yarmouth already in his short career, no mean feat in itself. With that in mind Erica Samuels' charge can announce himself as a force to be reckoned with in this competition granted a degree of luck.
Westmeath Pearl (Trap 5) - 20:38 Romford
Westmeath Pearl (Trap 5, 20.38) boasted some pretty smart sprint form in Ireland and whilst slow to translate that to 2-bend contests at Hove, she could hardly have been more impressive when scoring over C&D last week. Building in no uncertain terms on her trial here previously, the daughter of Confident Rankin's impressive visual display was an effort fully backed up by the clock. Well housed as the sole middle seed lining up in the final, a similar slick break should see Jason Heath's charge tough to contain.
Ballymac Diego (Trap 1) - 21:26 Romford
On balance of recent form, Ballymac Diego (Trap 1, 21.26) is the one to side with when lining up in Romford's 21.26 and Kevin Hutton's charge is fancied to utilise a good draw on the rails firmly to his advantage. C&D victories on 2 of his last 3 starts have been impressive on final time and, with claims of turning front rank again, it would come as a disappointment where he not able to come out on top.
