In a week at Royal Ascot that has showcased some of the best aspects of British racing, it's also seen some of the worst, the riding/stewarding in the Norfolk a particular lowlight but so is a handicap like this being rendered far less competitive than it should be by riders forfeiting ground to switch to what the going stick suggests is the slowest part of the track, the middle/far side that has paid dividends earlier in the week shunned by the riders of those drawn low for a position in no man's land that gave those drawn high a big advantage, Rohaan not actually drawn towards the near rail, but making his challenge there under a masterful ride from Ryan Moore, his efforts in the saddle this week one of the notable highlights, not just here but also in the Hardwicke earlier in the afternoon and Gold Cup.
