As ever a huge field for the Queen Mary, no fewer than 13 of the 21 unbeaten, though most needed to improve a fair bit to be competitive in a standard running of the race, the pair at the head of the market both once-raced but having achieved a higher level of form in winning their only start, Love Reigns, for a stable that had had the winner or runner-up in every year bar one since 2015, setting a strong gallop until Dramatised took over, stamina coming into play late on, the winner's performance one of the better ones in the race in recent years; the field raced as one group after around 1f, racing broadly up the centre.
