Plenty of these looked open to improvement, but Meditate and Mawj stood out on what they'd achieved and dominated the market, the former running out a decisive winner without having to show much improvement, the form overall looking no better than standard for the race; the field split into 3 groups initially, though gradually came together, only the pair that stayed closer to the stand side seeming inconvenienced, a pattern repeated in the Commonwealth Cup: Believing was withdrawn after becoming unruly in the stalls.
