The Buckingham Palace Handicap is a handicap race over seven furlongs open to horses aged three and above.

The race was first run in 2002 to mark the Queen’s Golden Jubilee with the John Gosden trained Demonstrate claiming victory. After twelve successful years it was removed from the Royal Ascot programme in 2014 before returning to the card in 2020.
It is a flat handicap race run over 7 furlongs and is open to horses aged three and over.
Neil Callan has enjoyed great success in the race and is currently the leading jockey with three wins. The first coming in 2006 with Uhoomagoo before following up with back to wins with Eton Forever (2012) and Lightning Cloud (2013). The 2006 and 2013 victories were both on Kevin Ryan trained horses and he currently holds the record for most trainer wins with two.
