Not dissimilar to the preceding Hampton Court in that the field for this year's Ribblesdale largely didn't bring with it quite the same wealth of experience in illustrious company as normal, with only Fleeting, Frankellina and Peach Tree coming from the Oaks and nothing else boasting Classic form, the last-named of that trio a mere pacemaker at Epsom and adopting the same role again, not that that ensured things panned out well for her stablemate, who got too far back and also met trouble as she closed, Dettori conversely in the right place when required for the umpteenth time at this meeting.
