Rather unusually, none of the Oaks field came here, but this race was equally good as the Epsom classic, certainly in terms of the first 2, a classy Irish pair who've thrived individually this season, Pleascach the Irish Guineas winner but overpowered by the expanding force that is Curvy, who had to barge her way out over 1f out, the pair clear and credit to them as it had been only a modest pace - a number didn't settle - until the last half-mile.
