Domestic Group 1 form was somewhat underrepresented in this season's Queen Anne and it's unlikely the winner - who has already firmly established his top-class credentials - needed to reproduce his very best form to land short odds, chased home most closely by 2 4-y-os that improved their form on the day, the trio the most likely ones in the race to make their mark at this level in the future; the pace was strong, the field soon well strung out, and those that bided their time were favoured to an extent, though the result is a fair reflection so far as the principals are concerned.
