A typically strong Royal Ascot handicap, high on quality and competition, though inevitably fewer improvers in this older-horse event, with one big exception, Arab Spring the proverbial Group horse in a handicap as he took his unbeaten run to 4 this year, and it's very rare a race of this nature is won with such little fuss, due in part to his superior ability, but also the way things developed, hardly any of the big field getting competitive, difficult to come from off the pace, the winner the only one to get past the front-running Salutation, plenty in behind better than they could show this day.
