Not necessarily the deepest renewal of the Chesham but the winner's performance is up to scratch and, as is usually the case in this race (confined to 2-y-o's that are by a 1¼m+ winner), there are others amongst the field that are likely to get better with time and distance; it took a couple of furlongs for the pace to pick up, a few of them keen early as a result, but things developed far enough out to make for a sound test.
