Neither the English or Irish 1000 Guineas were quite up to the usual standard this year so it's no surprise that this latest renewal of the Coronation Stakes wasn't up to scratch, either, Immortal Verse's winning rating marginally lower than we've had in this race since Maid's Causeway in 2005, but there's no doubting her superiority; the pace wasn't that strong early but Claiomh Solais pressed on soon after halfway, making for a good test, and the first 2 came from the back.
