Not so deep a 2-y-o race as others at the Royal meeting, limited to those whose sires won over further than 9.5f, and there were a few disappointments on the day as well; nevertheless, Zaidan matched the useful standard it usually takes to win a Chesham, backed up by the timefigure, whilst there's potential among the rest, too, notably King Torus, who was isolated on the flank with the field tacking right across to the stand side.
