A cracking renewal of the Coronation Stakes, with the field including 4 fillies who'd passed the post first in a European mile classic earlier in the season, plus one also successful in the Dubai equivalent (only listed standard); however, in contrast to those races, 3 of which which had taken place on very soft going, it was last season's leading 2-y-o form which proved the best guide to proceedings, Nannina, who'd beaten Alexandrova in the Fillies' Mile, bouncing back in great style to land the spoils; the pace was sound.
