O'BRIEN AND MOORE TAKE TOP TRAINER AND JOCKEY TITLESVentura Rebel could possibly run in the Norfolk Stakes
Posted in: Royal Ascot News
Ventura Rebel was a surprise winner of a minor event at Ascot earlier this month, lowering the colours of the much-touted American speedball Lady Pauline, who was sent off at odds of 11/4-on.
Indeed, Ventura Rebel progressed significantly from his debut win to follow up and maintain his unbeaten record, but he still showed signs late on that there are still some edges to be smoothed, finding plenty to lead in the final 50 yards.

Syndicate manager of Middleham Park Racing, Tom Palin said: “He’s come out of Ascot great and at the moment the plan is simply to go to Royal Ascot with him.
“His target is undecided. It will either be the Norfolk or the Coventry. The time he did at Ascot last time out suggests he should be in the mix in the Norfolk, but the visual impression he gave suggests the six furlongs shouldn’t be a problem so it’s a really lovely problem to have.
“We’re probably steering towards the Norfolk at this stage.
“There are two styles of race-reading – the visual and the time – and he gave a great a impression on both.
“I don’t know if Lady Pauline travelled over OK or if that was her true running. If it was, then we have plenty to be excited about.
“It should be a good day whichever way we go.”
Ventura Rebel is currently a top-priced 16/1 for the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot.
