O'BRIEN AND MOORE TAKE TOP TRAINER AND JOCKEY TITLESRoyal Ascot 2016: Michelle Payne ruled out after surgery

The 30-year-old made history in 2015 when she became the first female rider to win the Melbourne Cup, on Prince Of Penzance, and had been relishing the opportunity to ride at both the Royal meeting and the Shergar Cup later in the year.
However, Payne has had to undergo abdomen surgery following the fall from Dutch Courage, trained by her brother Patrick. She is described as being in a "serious but stable" condition, will remain in hospital in Australia for at least a week, and is not expected to ride for the remainder of her domestic 2015-16 season
Victorian Jockeys' Association chief executive Des O'Keefe said: "Surgery has been successful and Michelle will be remaining in hospital for at least a week, perhaps more.
"It will be a number of weeks (before her return) one would think after surgery that was significant.
"She had rides booked at Royal Ascot, she was in the Shergar Cup and she was ready to ride in Sweden as well, which I know she was really looking forward to."
