O'BRIEN AND MOORE TAKE TOP TRAINER AND JOCKEY TITLESPrince of Wales's Stakes 2016: A Shin Hikari the one to beat on ratings

Masanori Sakaguchi's Hong Know Cup winner made a spectacular European debut at Chantilly on Tuesday, running out a comfortable ten-length winner of the Group 1 Prix d'Ispahan from high-class Prix Ganay winner Dariyan.
A Shin Hikari, who has now won ten of his tweleve career starts, ran to a Timeform rating of 133 at Chantilly, bringing him clear of the current highest rated horse in Europe, Postponed, who is rated 130 by Timeform.
Such was the impressive nature of A Shin Hikari's victory, however, there could be even more to come, and a potential clash with the likes of The Grey Gatsby, who was perhaps unlucky not to win last year's renewal after meeting trouble at a crucial stage (finished second), and Breeders' Cup Turf winner Found is a mouth-watering prospect.
A Shin Hikari had previously only been raced on good or good to firm going, but the soft ground at Chantilly was clearly no issue for him, and as a result some questioned whether the Prix d'Ispahan winner would return to Chantilly for the Arc in October.
However, his trainer Masanori Sakaguchi was quick to dismiss that route, acknowledging that his star would be stretched by the mile-and-a-half trip, and favoured a return to his home country after his Ascot raid, saying: "He will run at Ascot and will then return to Japan as the Arc trip will be too far him."
A Shin Hikari is now a general 2/1 chance for the Prince of Wales's Stakes, and if able to reproduce his Prix d'Ispahan form, will be the one to beat.
Prince of Wales's Stakes - Betfair Betting: 2/1 A Shin Hikari, 4/1 Found, 6/1 New Bay, 10/1 Time Test, 10/1 The Grey Gatsby, 10/1 Intilaaq, 10/1 Cannock Chase
