Japan was a second successive winning favourite, to start the card on Friday, in the King Edward VII Stakes.
Aidan O'Brien's colt was providing a fourth success of the meeting for his jockey Ryan Moore, upholding the Derby form after his third to stablemate Anthony Van Dyck at Epsom.
He took the scenic route, but JAPAN bolts up in the King Edward VII Stakes at #RoyalAscot for Aidan O'Brien and Ryan Moore!

Japan was held up off a frenetic early pace before challenging wide to win as the 6-4 favourite, stretching clear by four and a half lengths from Bangkok and Eagles By Day.
O'Brien said of his winner: "This is a very smart horse.
"He's coming forward lovely, and we couldn't be happier. He's been progressing all the time."
