Merchant Navy is somewhat of an unknown, having done the majority of his racing in his native Australia, but he made a promising debut for Aidan O'Brien when winning the Greenlands Stakes (conceding weight all round) at the Curragh last month and he commands plenty of respect.
However, Redkirk Warrior beat Merchant Navy in Australia and could prove a big danger under Frankie Dettori.
The defending champion The Tin Man is also back to defend his crown and another bold bid looks assured. He goes particulary well at this course and warmed up nicely winning a listed race at Windsor on his return.

Champion Sprint winner Librisa Breeze would likely prefer some cut in the ground, but is another who goes very well here, while Bound For Nowhere and City Light are a couple other foriegn raiders to consider.
Harry Angel is a top-priced 3/1 favourite for the 2018 Diamond Jubilee Stakes.
