Andre Fabre’s charge was an impressive winner of the Dahlia Stakes last time out under Mickael Barzalona and the Godolphin-owned filly is firmly on target for the Group 2 contest according to connections.
Speaking at a Royal Ascot media conference on Thursday morning, Godolphin chief executive John Ferguson explained: "I love talking to Andre Fabre about this filly. He gets the biggest smile on his face when talking about Usherette [and] he's an extraordinary judge."
Godolphin have four other entries, including Lucida and Always Smile, while other possible runners include John Gosden’s Jazzi Top.
Last season’s Coronation Stakes fourth Miss Temple City will run in this race in preference to the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes on Tuesday.
"We have been avoiding Tepin for the whole year and Miss Temple City ran against the colts last time because that was easier," said her trainer Graham Motion. "I didn't want to come all the way over here just to meet her."
The most notable defectors include last year’s winner Amazing Maria and Jean-Claude Rouget’s Ervedya, who both look set to run in the Queen Anne 24 hours earlier.
