O'BRIEN AND MOORE TAKE TOP TRAINER AND JOCKEY TITLESDettori confident in Cracksman ability
Posted in: Royal Ascot News
Dettori missed the Royal meeting due to a shoulder injury last year, before returning to win a whole host of Group 1 contests in the second half of the season, including a wide-margin victory aboard Cracksman in the Champion Stakes, a race run over the same C&D as Wednesday's feature.
Cracksman has not impressed everyone despite winning both his starts this time round, including when scrambling home in the Coronation Cup at Epsom last time, but Dettori still retains the utmost belief in the four-year-old, and is looking forward to being reunited with him in the Prince of Wales's Stakes.

"I'm as excited as anyone about Wednesday," the jockey enthused.
"Cracksman is fine. I rode him yesterday and he just doesn't like Epsom.
"He loves Ascot and if the beast who won the Champion Stakes turns up then we're going to have lots of fun.
"His CV is tremendous."
Cracksman is a best priced 6/5-on favourite to win the Prince of Wales's Stakes, ahead of Champion Stakes runner-up Poet's Word and dual Group 1 winner Hydrangea.
