The Aidan O'Brien-trained Caravaggio, winner of the Coventry Stakes at this meeting 12 months ago, is now the second-highest three-year-old in training following the emphatic win by Lady Aurelia in Tuesday's King's Stand Stakes, however he will bid to enhance his reputation when he puts his unbeaten record on the line on Friday. Stablemate Intelligence Cross is also declared.
Godolphin are enjoying a fine week and they will rely on Blue Point (Charlie Appleby) and recent purchase Harry Angel (Clive Cox). They clashed at the track in May, with the former coming out on top by a length and a half, however Harry Angel has since won the Sandy Lane Stakes at Haydock in emphatic fashion.
American handler Wesley Ward will saddle impressive Keeneland winner Bound For Nowhere, while Straight Right will represent French trainer Christophe Ferland.
Mr Scarlet will by a rare Royal Ascot runner for Irish trainer Sheila Lavery, while Legendary Lunch (Richard Hannon), Victory Angel (Roger Varian), Tis Marvellous (Clive Cox), Yalta (Mark Johnston) and Visionary (Robert Cowell) complete the field.
