O'BRIEN AND MOORE TAKE TOP TRAINER AND JOCKEY TITLESAppleby hoping to prove a Point

The four-year-old showed himself to be a high-class performer last season, with three of his starts coming at Ascot, winning a listed race and a Group 3 either side of his third behind Caravaggio and Harry Angel in the Commonwealth Cup at this meeting.
Blue Point looked as good as ever when second on his return in Dubai and, with trainer Charlie Appleby happy to put a line through his below-par effort in Hong Kong last time, hopes are high that the son of Shamardal can resume his progress in Tuesday's King's Stand Stakes.

"We were all a bit green travelling out to Hong Kong," Appleby explained.
"We tried to take them on at their own game by racing handy and that didn’t go to plan.
"He had a troubled journey back as well but I’ve been pleased with what I’ve seen at home.
"He did a seriously good piece of work last week and he’s showing all the right signs. He seems to like Ascot too."
Blue Point is a general 7/1 shot for the King's Stand, in a market headed by last year's winner Lady Aurelia and Prix de l'Abbaye hero Battaash.
