O'BRIEN AND MOORE TAKE TOP TRAINER AND JOCKEY TITLESAdvertise obliges in Commonwealth Cup
Posted in: Royal Ascot News
Advertise prevailed by a length and a half at 8-1, in the colours of Phoenix Thoroughbred Limited - with his nearest challenger, 20-1 shot Forever In Dreams, representing a new venture for the same ownership, Phoenix Ladies Syndicate.
While they bought the filly only this week, at a sale on the eve of the Royal meeting, Advertise's Group One success was especially heartening for his trainer - whose horses had been so badly out of form for much of this season to date.
Moore and O'Brien's even-money favourite Ten Sovereigns could get no closer than fourth.

Dettori, meanwhile, reflected on events so far in a week which is on target to be a record-breaker - even by his standards.
"It's unbelievable," he said.
"I'm so pleased for Martyn - his horses were so sick in the spring..
"He ran really badly in the Guineas. He had to bite the bullet, close the stable for a month - and he got his reward."
