Queen of Time - 15:50 Salisbury
3 - Henry Candy's number of winners in past 9 runnings.
Queen of Time has been a regular in these contests over the last two years and looks to have a good chance of finally gaining success in one after a handicap success over C&D a month ago. Her victory was her first since May 2017 and still won despite being snatched up and getting into trouble. She stayed on strongly to the line and looks well worth her place back up in grade after that. The cheekpieces from that day are retained and she looks to have a good chance of gaining a well-deserved success at this level. Henry Candy has enjoyed recent success in this race, having won this contest three times since 2014 and can have more with Queen of Time today.
Langholm - 16:00 Beverley
£50.18 - Declan Carroll's profit to a £1 level stake when having one runner at a flat meeting
Declan Carroll looked to have found the key to Langholm after the application of a tongue tie and a drop to this C&D, with him winning two of his last three starts. His last start can be forgiven where he went to Doncaster when stepping up in trip and grade, before running too freely ruined any chance he would have had. He drops back in grade and gets reunited with Paul Hanagan, who was on board for both his wins, and looks to have a good chance of regaining the winning thread. It is always worth noting when Declan Carroll sends one runner to a meeting, with him showing a good level of profit to a level stake, making Langholm of definite interest.
New Angel - 19:10 Kempton
28% - John Gosden's strike rate at KEMPTON PARK since the start of the 2015 season
New Angel makes her debut for the powerful team of John Gosden and Robert Havlin at Kempton and looks to have a good chance of making a perfect start to her career. She has taken her time to get to the track, suggesting she might have had a problem along the way but is a well-bred filly – closely related to Order of St George – and can cope with the seven furlongs on debut given the dam was a dirt winner over shorter. She does take on another well-bred filly in Farzeen and has to allow her previous experience but she is under a penalty for winning a minor event at Redcar last time and could possibly be vulnerable to this debutante from John Gosden, who operates at an excellent strike rate around Kempton.
