Smart Stat: £71.92 - Simon Pearce's profit to a £1 level stake when having one runner at a Flat meeting
Frisky bumped into the favourite for the Nunthorpe at Bath earlier in the season and produced a big career best when opening her account at Leicester last time in emphatic fashion. She was well backed to do so and was well in command some way out despite not keeping straight under pressure, readily stretching clear of her rivals inside the final furlong. Frisky has fared well with the draw and she is potentially well treated from a mark of 71 on handicap debut, so a bold bid is expected.
Smart Stat: 23% - John & Thady Gosden's strike rate in mid-season
Original Thinker was prominent in the betting for her debut at Doncaster last month but was given a considerate introduction, showing clear signs of inexperience in the early part of the race and also looking green under pressure. She wasn't knocked about, though, finishing with running left at the line, and she is just the type to take a considerable step forward now. This doesn't look the strongest race of its type and Original Thinker represents a yard whose horses can often come on a bundle from their debut.
Smart Stat: 22% - James Doyle's strike rate at KEMPTON PARK
Conflict was strong in the betting but was in need of the experience on his debut at the end of last year, and he bumped into a couple of useful types on his first two starts back this season. He showed improved form to open his account in a three-runner event at Salisbury last time, readily on top at the finish, and leaving the impression he'll relish this return to seven furlongs. This is a tougher assignment on his handicap debut, but he is drawn well and it is hard to think a mark of 79 will prove his limit.
