Smart Stat: 19% - Tom George's strike rate with handicap chase debutants since the start of the 2012/13 season
Minella For Me is the sort to make a chaser (good-topped point winner) and went with plenty of promise on his debut over fences in a red-hot novice at Uttoxeter last time, jumping well. He was keen early that day and probably paid for that late on, but this is a much more realistic task and he is worth chancing on his handicap debut.
Smart Stat: 26% - Harry Skelton's strike rate at Market Rasen since the start of the 2012/13 season
American Life wasn't the easiest to win with when with Sophie Leech but he is well handicapped on his win at Haydock from a couple of seasons ago from 11 lb higher in the weights, and may well be the type to have been revitalised by a switch of yards. The booking of Harry Skelton - who does particularly well at this track - is another positive, and American Life is worth chancing.
Smart Stat: £12.66 - Dan Skelton's profit with hurdlers running after a break since the start of the 2011/12 season
Backing Does It In Style based on what he has shown on the track is a rather big ask, but it's his profile that makes him interesting for the closing race on Leciester's card today. He cost £30,000 as a three-year-old and was sent off at just 5/2 for his debut at Catterick last season only to stumble/unseat on the home turn. He was set some stiff tasks after that, but has been given a basement handicap mark as a result, and it'd be a surprise if Dan Skelton didn't manage to win with him at some stage.
