Smart Stat: 32% - L J Morgan's strike rate in mid-season
Dondiam cost £50,000 after winning his sole start in points so it is no surprise he has quickly been switched to fences after joining this yard and he was in the process of showing improved form when falling on his chase debut at Musselburgh last month. He took a strong hold but jumped fine on the whole before departing at the ninth and he is well worth another chance to prove himself well handicapped back at two miles.
Smart Stat: 23% - Kevin Philippart de Foy's strike rate with horses running over 10f+
Evania is lightly raced for a five-year-old and she looked a useful prospect when making a winning start for these connections at Kempton in September, conceding plenty of weight to some younger rivals. She was better than she could show upped into listed company at Lingfield last time, missing the break and not getting the clearest run throughout. Evania is expected to be much more competitive now making her handicap debut and an opening mark of 85 shouldn't be beyond her.
Larchmont Lass - 16:45 Wincanton
Smart Stat: 27% - Paul Nicholls's strike rate at WINCANTON since the start of the 2018/19 season
Larchmont Lass made plenty of appeal ahead of her debut in a useful-looking bumper at Ascot in November and she showed plenty to work on too, finishing third to her better fancied stablemate. She disputed the lead throughout but was unable to quicken with the principals in the straight, leaving the impression she would come on for the experience. Larchmont Lass is against her own sex now and, while this looks competitive, she seems sure to be thereabouts.
