Grivetana - 15:15 Chepstow
Smart Stat: 24% - Harry Cobden's strike rate at Chepstow
Grivetana shaped better than the bare result when finishing fourth on her latest outing at Musselburgh, only tiring late on having made her effort earlier than ideal. She can line up from the same mark today as when filling the runner-up spot (beaten two and a half lengths) in the Gerry Feilden at Newbury in November and this is arguably the weakest race she's run in all season now back against her own sex. The longer trip is an unknown, but it's worth giving her the benefit of the doubt under Harry Cobden, who has enjoyed plenty of success at this course in recent years.
Sail Away - 15:50 Chepstow
Smart Stat: 22% - Dan Skelton's strike rate with chasers at up to 2m3f
Sail Away had plenty in hand when last seen gaining a first success over fences at Warwick in May, making all to win by 20 lengths having jumped impeccably throughout. This will be his first start for 10 months, but he has gone well fresh in the past and a BHA mark of 136 remains workable judged on the balance of his form. Trained by Dan Skelton, who has his team in rude health (65% of horses running to form), Sail Away is fancied to prove himself a smart prospect by doubling his tally on his belated reappearance.
Endless Supply - 17:00 Chepstow
Smart Stat: £12.58 - Fergal O'Brien's profit to a £1 level stake with only one runner on the card (bumpers)
Endless Supply finished third on her sole start in Irish points and has since joined the Fergal O'Brien yard having been bought for £60,000. King William Rufus comfortably sets the standard in this bumper having finished a good second on his debut at Plumpton in December, but Endless Supply is in the right hands and could be worth a small each-way bet in a race full of newcomers where the market is likely to prove very informative.
