Notlongtillmay didn't achieve much in bumpers and over hurdles for Chris Gordon but he has made a positive start over fences for this yard, winning both starts so far while leaving the impression he has plenty more to offer over this course and distance last month. He had no problem with the step up in trip, making all of the running and going even further clear in the closing stages. This is tougher, but he is clearly on the up, and he can defy a 10 lb rise with the booking of Brian Hughes a plus. 

Hello Zabeel - 13:51 Lingfield

Smart Stat: 28% - Ryan Moore's strike rate at LINGFIELD PARK

Hello Zabeel lost his way for Kevin Ryan but has made an encouraging start for new connections, building on the promise of his first two runs for the yard when resuming winning ways at Southwell in October, appreciating the drop back to six furlongs. He was well positioned on that occasion but had a bit up his sleeve at the line, suggesting he can progress again, and the booking of Ryan Moore on his return to action catches the eye. Hello Zabeel is taken to follow up following a 2 lb rise in the weights. 

Manaafifth - 15:01 Lingfield

Smart Stat: 24% - Roger Varian's strike rate at LINGFIELD PARK since the start of the 2019 season 

Manaafifth has an excellent record on an artificial surface, recording all five of her wins on the all-weather, and she looks ready to take this step up in class following her two latest victories. She bombed out on her previous start at this level on turf at Newmarket, but she has shown herself to be a smart performer of late, winning with plenty in hand at Southwell last time. Manaafifth takes on the boys now but she arrives on an upward curve and is fancied to find the requisite improvement to come out on top again.
