Carlos Felix cost a fortune at the breeze-ups back in 2019 and once looked promising for David Simcock before losing his way and falling down the weights. However, he has been showing betting signs of late from a reduced mark, finishing runner-up on his last three starts, beaten only by an improving handicap debutant upped to two miles at Kempton last time. The drop back in trip is no concern and the addition of first-time cheekpieces may help him concentrate a little more.

Bandinelli has an excellent strike rate, winning five of his nine career starts, and he proved better than ever after a short break when landing good support to win at Kempton in March. He was always well positioned that day and was just kept up to his work to win with a bit in hand from some useful types. That took his record to two from two at around two miles and he remains totally unexposed as a stayer, so he makes plenty of appeal back on turf following a 3 lb rise. 

Believe In Love - 15:30 York

Smart Stat: 22% - Roger Varian's strike rate in early season 

Believe In Love progressed right through the handicap ranks in 2020 before landing a couple of Group 3s last season, but was a little below form up against the boys on her return in the Ormonde Stakes at Chester earlier this month. She left the impression she would come on for the run on that occasion, though, and she sets a good standard on Timeform weight-adjusted ratings now back against her own sex.
