Smart Stat: 10% - DREAM AHEAD (USA)'s strike rate with debutants
Redcar's opening maiden is an open one, in which several runners make their debuts. The standard set by those with experience isn't a daunting one, and as such it looks worth chancing that Aisling is able to make a winning start. She's an attractive prospect for the contest on paper, and whilst it's likely she'll need further in time, her sire has a strong record with first time debutants. The Mark Johnston team are more than able to ready one on their first run, and she could well make a bold bid from the front with Silvestre De Sousa booked to ride.
Smart Stat: £39.00 - Tony Carroll's profit with only one runner on the card (chases) since the start of the 2013/14 season
Heurtevent has produced his best form in the summer months throughout his career, winning this race three years ago. He hinted at a return to form when finishing second from out of the handicap at Worcester 11 days ago, and this doesn't look a strong race. Considering his trainer's profit when having just one runner on the card, he's fancied to pick up a first win for just over two years.
Smart Stat: £29.22 - Eric Alston's profit with favourites since the start of the 2013 season
Redrosezorro is in the form of his life at the moment, winning three of his last four starts. He's gone up 15 lb in the weights in that time, and whilst his winning run was ended three weeks ago at Thirsk, he's been allowed to freshen up since. He's still improving, and considering that his trainer has shown a considerable profit with favourites over the last few years, he could well scale new heights as a four-year-old by taking what looks a winnable handicap.
