Ermesinde defied some major market weakness to make a winning debut over course and distance last month, at the main expense of a heavily backed favourite who has since come out and franked the form in style. She was well placed and made good headway to lead over a furlong out and was just kept up to her work to score by a length. She looked potentially useful and is a strong fancy to follow up under a penalty with improvement forthcoming.

Mrs U S A finished runner-up to a useful rival on her first two starts last season and built on that promise when opening her account at Sandown, landing some nice bets in the process. She can have a line put through her handicap debut at York on her next start where she barely had a run having met plenty of trouble, but she was disappointing on her final start at Newcastle. There is stamina on the dam's side of her pedigree, so she is very interesting now trying seven furlongs for the first time on her return to action.

Letmelivemylife has made a good start for this yard, travelling better than most when hitting the frame at Lingfield last month, and building on that promise when resuming winning ways at Chelmsford last time. He had fallen 5 lb below his last winning mark and was well backed to come out on top, staying on strongly in the closing stages to record a narrow success. A subsequent 2 lb rise looks fair enough and he seems sure to launch another bold bid.
