Smart Stat: 22% - Kevin Ryan's strike rate at HAMILTON PARK since the start of the 2018 season
Marhaba The Champ is bred to be smart and he came on a bundle for his reappearance when runner-up at Ripon last month, showing the benefit of a breathing operation and he was arguably unlucky not to win. He was carried markedly left entering the straight, so much so that he ended up on the stands rail which left him with plenty to do with the far-side leaders. He did well to finish as close as he did as a result and he should have plenty more to offer now handicapping.
Smart Stat: £120.43 - Heather Main's profit to a £1 level stake when having one runner at a Flat meeting
Kadima Imperial was well backed after an eight-week break and showed improved form to finish runner-up in a minor event at Chepstow in June before taking another big step forward when opening her account on handicap debut at Kempton last month. She relished the step up to a mile on that occasion, finding plenty under pressure to see off another handicap debutant. That looks solid form for the grade and a subsequent 2 lb rise may well underestimate her.
Smart Stat: £16.00 - Craig Lidster's profit to a £1 level stake when having one runner at a Flat meeting
Chester le Streak was less exposed than the majority of his rivals when getting off the mark at Carlisle last month but he still showed improved form to do so, displaying a willing attitude to beat Burtonwood by a neck. He was doing all of his best work at the finish on that occasion, so should be well suited by this slightly stiffer test of stamina, and he could yet have more to offer now having got his head in front.
