Smart Stat: 21% - Philip Hobbs's strike rate at WARWICK since the start of the 2014/15 season
Kalooki didn’t manage to win in bumpers last season but he showed fairly useful form, his best effort coming when runner-up at Exeter in January. He is related to some above-average jumpers, including Kruzhlinin and Kiss Me, who the yard know well, so there is reason to think he will do better now sent hurdling and stepped up in trip.
Smart Stat: 26% - Aidan Coleman's strike rate at FONTWELL PARK
Midnight Tune is a likeable front runner who made a promising debut over fences last season when finishing runner-up to the now smart Molly The Dolly. She would have again been in the mix on her next start at Plumpton but for falling two out, and she rates the type to progress through the ranks this season. This doesn’t look the strongest race of its type and it will be disappointing if Midnight Tune isn’t able to open her account over fences here under Aidan Coleman, who rides this track particularly well.
Smart Stat: 23% - William Haggas's strike rate at CHELMSFORD CITY since the start of the 2015 season
Al Qaqaa cost $1,200,000 as a yearling and made a promising debut when finishing third at Newmarket last month. He was one of the best looking in the field, but was in need of the experience and was spared a hard race, never on terms but keeping on in the final furlong. Al Qaqaa is open to significant improvement now, and while there are some nicely-bred newcomers on show, they will have to be smart to topple him.
