He showed a good attitude to prevail on the last occasion, rallying to lead again close home after briefly being headed at the second last (made all otherwise). He is only 3 lb higher here and remains open to more improvement over fences, so there are plenty of reasons to be positive about him as he attempts to provide Harry Whittington with a third win in this race since 2015.

Nicky Henderson has a good record both in this race and at the track, identifying Caribean Boy as very much one to bear in mind on his return after nine months off. A fairly useful hurdler for his previous connections in France, Caribean Boy stepped up on his chasing debut for this yard when winning a novice handicap at Haydock in February, just needing to be kept up to his work to land the spoils by five lengths. That was a smart effort to defy a BHA mark of 138, and, with further progress on the cards, he is fancied to take the step up in grade here in his stride.

That was a big step back in the right direction, so she is well worth a chance to confirm the promise of that effort from only 2 lb higher, representing the Darren Bunyan yard that is always worth following when sending only one runner to a meeting.
