#8 Boom Gate – Scone R5 (05:20 GMT)
Boom Gate finished eighth on this latest outing, but that was in a much stronger contest than this, and a repeat of his winning performance at the start of December would be more than enough to see him regain the winning thread. Chuck’n’paul should be at the peak of his fitness now and is capable of a strong showing, while Mo’s Glory has solid place claims from a favourable low draw.
#2 Mummentum – Scone R6 (05:55 GMT)
Mummentum has won two of her four career starts and it would be no surprise to see her improve again after a few months off. She has been given a couple of trials since disappointing at Hawkesbury in September and should be capable of resuming winning ways at the expense of Predictable Miss and Hercules Mo.
#7 Tango Stepz – Scone R7 (06:30 GMT)
Tango Stepz failed to follow up her maiden victory when meeting trouble in-running at Gunnedah last month, but looks capable of bouncing back here if granted a clear run. She should strip fitter for her two outings this term and is making headway with each start, so is fancied to get back to winning ways ahead of the hat-trick seeking Talaaqy, and the well-drawn Hey Dude.
