#2 Daybreak – Penn National R1, 23:00 BST
On the face of it, Daybreak looks quite exposed after 15 runs, but she is relatively lightly raced in the US and now makes her first start for a new trainer. A reproduction of the form she showed in 4 starts at Santa Anita ought to be enough to get the job done in what is a weak-looking maiden claimer.
#5 Joiner – Penn National R3, 23:55 BST
Joiner ran well to finish second in a slightly stronger race than this last time and is entitled to come on for the run (had been off 374 days). Dyna’s Reflection looks the one to beat, while newcomer Jasper K is another to keep an eye on.
#5 Moon Chant – Penn National R4, 00:25 BST
Moon Chant wasn’t beaten far into fifth last time and deserves extra credit for being positioned close to a fast pace. The fractions in this contest promise to be more tepid and she can come out on top, with Tanda’s Joy and Menschke rated the main dangers.
