Al Asifah looked above average when landing the odds on her debut at Haydock in May but she looked something out of the ordinary when following up in a listed event at Goodwood on her next start. There was plenty to like about the manner of that success, effortlessly moving into the lead down the outside and soon moving clear in the style over a very smart filly. She was unable to back that effort up in the Ribblesdale at Royal Ascot when last seen, but she is best not judged to harshly on that effort, the race likely coming too soon and a trip around the houses from further back than those in front of her also not helping matters. Al Asifah has been freshened up since and is strongly fancied to resume her progress.

Tamilla was a two-time winner over similar trips last season and she has shaped well on more than one occasion in some competitive handicaps this year. She was unlucky not to finish closer when hitting the frame at Bath a fortnight ago, keeping on when not getting a clear run entering the final furlong and also encountering more trouble close home. She finished with running left at the line and, now back down to her last winning mark, she remains a horse to be interested in at this sort of level.
