Legendary Day - 15:15 Nottingham
✔ UK Flat racing
✔ Trainer is in form
✔ Jockey is in form
✔ Horse is suited by the ground
Legendary Day looked progressive earlier in the year, winning back-to-back races at this track and Leicester, before finishing placed in a competitive handicap which has worked out well at Newmarket. He can't have been 100 per cent when disappointing at Hamilton last time, and is well worth chancing on his return from a two-month break with conditions in his favour.
Galvin - 16:05 Punchestown
✔ Irish jumps racing
✔ Horse is open to improvement
✔ Horse won last time out
✔ Jockey has previously won on the horse
Galvin enjoyed a terrific 2020/21 season, winning all five of his starts, notably the National Hunt Chase at the Cheltenham Festival. That was over much further than today's distance, but Galvin has plenty of rock-solid form at three miles, too, and he remains a horse who could have even more to offer this term. He can make a winning return to Gordon Elliott's yard.
