The progressive Caribeno produced his best effort yet when completing the hat-trick at Southwell last week and he won in the style of a horse who should be difficult to beat under a penalty. Caribeno made all and kept on strongly to win that mile-and-three-quarter handicap. That was the longest trip he has tackled and, given his strength at the finish, there could be even more to come as he steps up another couple of furlongs in trip. He is a horse firmly on the up.

Kind Review has a fine record here and was successful over course and distance on his penultimate start, finding plenty when tackled approaching the final half-furlong to score by three-quarters of a length. He then ran even better in defeat when runner-up here under a 5 lb penalty just five days later. He can race off a 2 lb lower mark this evening and, considering his consistent profile, should give another good account.
