Eastern Charm showed only modest form in three starts last season, but she was much improved on her return and handicap debut when opening her account over course and distance in April. That was just an ordinary three-year-old handicap run in heavy ground, but the form is solid for the grade, and the runner-up won next time. A subsequent 3 lb rise is more than fair and the switch to a sounder surface may see her in an even better light.

Kerkiyra won a couple of handicaps over a mile and a quarter at the Curragh last year and finished the season on a high when beaten a head in listed company over this course and distance in October. She ran creditably on her return to action when finishing third in a Group 3 over a mile back at the Curragh in March, staying on in the closing stages as if she would be suited by a step back up in trip. She represents a jockey and trainer combination who are in good form and has more races in her at this sort of level.
