Beyond Borders showed improved form to regain the winning thread on his all-weather debut at Wolverhampton three weeks ago, hitting the front in the final furlong and keeping going well from there to land the spoils by a length. The manner of that win suggests he was full value for a 6 lb rise in the weights and there is no reason why he shouldn't give another good account for the Karl Burke yard which continues in rude health (70% of horses running to form).

Timewave was successful on his only previous visit to Southwell back in April and he's continued to run well generally despite failing to add to his tally in eight subsequent starts. He proved at least as good as ever when hitting the frame for the third start in a row at Newcastle last week, typically sticking to his task well to pass the post just a length and a quarter behind the winner in third. He can line up from the same mark today and it's looks a good opportunity for him to gain a deserved success for Charlie Johnston, who also has his team in good nick (72% of horses running to form).
